With this thesis I will guide you through the works of the modernist Joyce, with special emphasis on his short story collection (or novel?) Dubliners. Thanks to the Erasmusprogramme I could go over there to explore ‘James Joyce City.’ I found lots and lots of interesting material, and could linger in the streets were Joyce lingered when he was only a little boy… It is logical that I have chosen Dubliners as topic for my final thesis. I stayed in Dublin, a city were one of the most important modernist writers was born: James Joyce. This year I had the opportunity to study abroad for three months.
